During our current situation, Central's congregation and staff have been trying to come up with new ways to connect to one another.

First of all, we’re creating an Intergenerational Pen Pal Network! In these days of being stuck at home, wouldn’t it be cool to go to the mailbox and find a handwritten note of encouragement? We’re inviting all generations to become pen pals. We have the opportunity right now to connect young parents who unexpectedly have their children with them 24/7 with older adults who have been there, done that. We can connect empty nesters with full-to-overflowing nesters, and we can connect anyone in between. We’re going to take this opportunity to create something fun!

Participants will receive a large envelope next week. Inside will be 5 notecards and 5 STAMPED envelopes, the address of your pen pal, along with names and ages of any family members. Every few days, take time to write a note to your pen pal. Just place it in your mailbox with the flag up, or in your outgoing mail slot, and enjoy what happens!
